NUSADAILY.COM – JAKARTA – The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) ensures that services to the community continue as usual after the determination of the legal status of Minister of KKP Edhy Prabowo as a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
“We ensure that services to the community continue to run,” said KKP Secretary General Antam Novambar in a press release in Jakarta, Thursday.
This is stated in the Circular Letter Number B-835 / SJ / XI / 2020 concerning the Implementation of Office Activities within the KKP which was signed by Antam on November 25, 2020.
He stated that all employees in the KKP environment are expected to continue working as usual and carry out their duties optimally while still paying attention to health protocols.
The health protocol in maintaining health, he said, needs to be continuously considered both at home, on the go, and at work.
Antam also asked employees to remain focused and enthusiastic at work, and to maintain the internal solidity of the KKP.
This, he continued, was important because excellent service to the community was the CTF’s top priority.
He also asked employees to respect the ongoing legal process at the KPK.
“We just focus on working, serving the community,” said Antam.
Meanwhile, in the context of effective implementation of the KKP’s duties and functions, the Minister of State Secretary, in accordance with President Joko Widodo’s direction, has issued a letter dated November 25, 2020 containing the appointment of the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan as the Ad Interim Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
This assignment is valid until the stipulation of the Daily Executive (Plh) of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries by a Presidential Decree.
With regard to Minister Edhy’s legal status, the KKP has coordinated with related parties in the context of handling the law. (ian)
