Pisang Ijo Ice from Makassar, Here’s How to Make It

  5. Sugar (more or less 50 grams).
  6. Green natural dyes of approximately as much as 1/2 liter.
Additional Materials
  1. Fresh pandan leaves, washed clean, to taste for green coloring.
  2. Suji leaves, washed clean, sufficient for green coloring.
  3. Water, to make a natural green dye
  4. Banana leaves to wrap green bananas.
  5. Plastic for the base forms the green banana peel mixture.
  6. Oil to smear the base where to make the dough.
How to make
  1. The first step, steam the banana until cooked. Yellow ripe bananas can be steamed briefly or do not need to be steamed.
  2. Create natural dyes. Cut and slice suji leaves and pandan leaves, then put it in a blender. Add enough water, then blend until smooth. Take the green water filtered.

  6. Cover the table to form the dough with plastic and add a little new oil so it is not sticky.
  7. Take the steamed mixture to taste, then press it until flat and thin.
  8. Place a steamed plantain in the thin mixture, wrap it neatly.
  9. Take a piece of banana leaf or plastic, wrap the banana wrapped in leather. Repeat until the banana and batter of green banana ice skin recipe is finished.
  10. Put all the bananas that have been wrapped in a pan, steamed again until cooked or approximately for 15 minutes.
  11. After cooking, remove and chill.
Ingredients Green Banana Sauce
  1.  Thick coconut milk from grated coconut juice, 500 milliliters.
  2. Fresh pandan leaves that have been washed sufficiently.
  3. Rice flour is approximately 50 grams.
  4. Kitchen salt to taste
  5. Sugar to taste or 90 grams.
How to make Green Banana Ice Sauce
  1. Enter the coconut milk in a pan, rice flour, table salt and sugar.
  2. Cook all the ingredients while stirring until evenly mixed and there are no lumps.
  3. Add pandan leaves, cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until done. The sign of ripe is that the sauce has shrunk a lot and small bubbles arise.

  1. Ambon banana syrup or other types.
  2. Ice cubes to taste.
  3. Sweetened condensed milk to taste.
