PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) opens Long Distance Train ticket reservations for the holiday period for joint leave in December or Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021.
“We have opened ticket reservations for people who want to travel during the Christmas and New Year holidays, while still applying health protocols in a disciplined manner,” said VP of Public Relations of KAI Joni Martinus in a press release received, Tuesday, November 24, 2020.
Tickets sold include the Taksaka train with a connection between Yogyakarta – Gambir, Gajayana train with a connection between Malang – Gambir pp, KA Senja Utama Solo with a relation between Solo Balapan – Pasar Senen, Argo Parahyangan train Bandung – Gambir, KA Mutiara Selatan Surabaya Gubeng – Bandung pp, and so on.
KAI continues to operate KA by implementing various health protocols in a strict and disciplined manner.

70% Seating Capacity
During the pandemic, KAI committed to selling Long Distance and Local Train tickets for only 70% of the available seating capacity to create physical distancing according to the Ministry of Transportation Circular Number SE 14 of 2020 dated June 8, 2020.
In addition, long-distance train customers are still required to be in good health (not suffering from flu, colds, coughs, fever), body temperature not more than 37.3 degrees Celsius, and are advised to wear long-sleeved clothes or jackets.
Customers are also required to show a valid Covid-19 Free Letter (PCR / Rapid Test) (14 days from issuance) or a symptom-free certificate such as influenza (influenza-like illness) issued by a hospital doctor / Puskesmas for areas that do not has a PCR Test and/or Rapid Test facility.
