“After obtaining permission from BPOM, then we will do the vaccination. Scientific principles, I have already conveyed these scientific principles, must be followed. We want safety, the security of the community must really be given the highest place, “said President Joko Widodo, in a written statement, Monday.

From the “warehouse” at the cargo terminal at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, vaccines stored in 7 envirotainers are transported using 3 trucks.

On the early hours of Monday, 7 December 2020, a series of vaccine transport vehicles started walking towards Bio Farma. This series of vehicles is also closely guarded by security forces.

After traveling overland for approximately 3 hours, a series of vaccine-carrying vehicles arrived at Bio Farma at around 03.45 WIB.

The vaccine is then transferred from the Envirotainer to be stored in a “cool room” with a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius.

The room has been sterilized and specially prepared to store the COVID-19 synovac vaccine.

The vaccine will then be sampled for quality testing by a team from the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) and Bio Farma.

In a statement delivered while reviewing the vaccination simulation at the Tanah Sareal Health Center, Bogor City, Wednesday, November 18, 2020. President Joko Widodo reminded that upon arrival, vaccines require a number of stages before they can be given to the public. (eky)
