NUSADAILY.COM – TULUNGAGUNG – The Health Office of Tulungagung Regency on Friday is scheduled to receive 5,280 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from the East Java Provincial Health Office.
“As scheduled, today the vaccine comes,” said Head of Tulungagung Health Office dr. Kasil Rohmat in Tulungagung, Friday.
The supply of the vaccine will be stored in a special room before it is used to vaccinate. The Tulungagung Health Office prepared five refrigerated rooms capable of accommodating about 10 thousand vials of vaccine to store the COVID-19 vaccine.
Tulungagung district plans to implement COVID-19 vaccination starting in early February 2021.
In the first phase of vaccination will be carried out on 2,640 officers in the field of health, including doctors, nurses, midwives, janitors, and security personnel working in health facilities.
“So the language is not nakes (health workers) yes. In Permenkes (Health Mnteri Regulation), nakes is only limited to doctors, nurses, and midwives,” said Kasil.
Vaccinations will be carried out in 40 government-appointed health facilities, including dr. Iskak, 32 health centers, and seven private hospitals.
The government of Tulungagung district has trained vaccination officers and simulated vaccinations.
“Each faskes (health facility) sends personnel for training and simulation. The process starts in November 2020 until now,” he said.
He added that 140 vaccination officers, 140 examiners, and 187 service personnel have been prepared to carry out the COVID-19 vaccination. (sak/ant)
